Hello World!

“Hello World”, an alternative to saying “Hello Everyone”. I’m no pro, but I have some knowledge of C and C++ programming languages and “Hello World” was the first program that was taught to me and that I wrote and executed on both.

C: printf (“Hello World!”);

C++: cout << “Hello World!”;

And some additions to make them executable programs.

Similar is the case with WordPress. It used to publish a post, the first one, by default, named “Hello World!” However, it did not do so this time around. I saw the post while customizing the theme and not when visiting the blog itself. The content was different as well.

Previously it used to be as follows.

“Hello world!

Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging!”

Now it’s different.

You haven’t written anything yet, but that’s easy for you to do later! Here’s your chance to get your site looking just the way you want it to before the words start flowing. Some inspiration from someone who knew a thing or two about writing:

And as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet’s pen
Turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.

William Shakespeare (A Midsummer Night’s Dream)

If it shows the same content to everyone or not, I don’t know. But it’s better than it used to be, since the prototype post is only for the blogger now and a visitor will not stumble upon it.

There goes the first entry in the Journal. “Hello World!”

    1. Haha. Thanks. 😁

      You have learnt HTML? Wow! I have bought a book out of curiosity, which I seldom open, except for the first week when it was read every night like a ritual. 😂
